Built into the Bluegrass

A manufacturing story
close to home.

For Central Kentucky drivers, Toyota manufacturing isn’t a distant idea. It’s happening in Georgetown, home to Toyota’s largest vehicle manufacturing plant worldwide. The first Kentucky-built Camry rolled off the line in 1988. Today, the plant builds Camry Hybrid and RAV4 Hybrid vehicles, alongside engines and other components. [1]

Camry Hybrid. Kentucky assembled.

A familiar name on Kentucky roads has a direct connection to Georgetown. Explore Camry inventory, then ask our team to confirm the final assembly location on the vehicle you choose.

The next chapter for RAV4 Hybrid.

Toyota marked the start of all-new RAV4 Hybrid assembly in Georgetown on June 22, 2026. RAV4 sourcing varies, so a model name alone does not establish where an individual vehicle was assembled. [2]

Which Toyotas are assembled in the U.S.?

From Kentucky-built hybrids to Texas-built trucks, these Toyota models have U.S. assembly operations. This is a plant guide, not a guarantee about every vehicle in dealer inventory. U.S.-assembled vehicles use U.S. and globally sourced parts. [3]

What about Tacoma?

Don’t confuse North American assembly with U.S. assembly. Toyota’s current North American operations list Tacoma production in Mexico. In July 2026, Toyota announced a Texas expansion targeting 2030 that will transition production from Baja California over approximately four years. That’s a future plan, not evidence that a Tacoma on the lot today was assembled in Texas. [4] [5]

More than a final assembly line

American jobs.
A connected supply chain.

Toyota reports more than 31,000 people working across 11 U.S. manufacturing facilities in 10 states. Its footprint includes vehicle assembly, engines, castings, transmissions and batteries. [3]

Alabama, West Virginia, Missouri and Tennessee help produce powertrain components. North Carolina adds lithium-ion battery manufacturing. These operations connect skilled work across multiple communities. [3]

Built closer to customers

Manufacturing for American drivers.

Toyota describes its long-term U.S. strategy as assembling more of the vehicles its customers buy here. Local production puts cars, SUVs and trucks within a U.S. manufacturing network, while Toyota also imports vehicles and exports U.S.-assembled models. [3]

U.S. sales, U.S. production and North American production are different measures. A global brand can have a substantial American manufacturing presence without every vehicle being U.S.-assembled.

Toyota manufacturing questions

Is Toyota an American company?

Toyota is a Japan-based global automaker with significant manufacturing operations in the United States. Brand headquarters and a vehicle’s assembly location are different things.

Are all Toyota vehicles sold here assembled here?

No. The U.S. lineup includes U.S.-assembled vehicles and imports. Even within a model family, sourcing can vary. Ask us to review the specific vehicle’s original window sticker.

Does U.S.-assembled mean every part is American?

No. Final assembly location does not mean all parts, engines or transmissions come from the same country. U.S.-assembled Toyota vehicles use U.S. and globally sourced parts.

Which Toyota models are assembled in Kentucky?

Toyota’s Kentucky facility currently lists Camry Hybrid and RAV4 Hybrid. Announced future projects should not be treated as already-operating production without a confirmed launch.
